Who and what is "dehx"? That is the question. dehx is not just a makeup and hair artist, but a creative force. She is a true artist who understands the entire spectrum of beauty, art, and fashion. Her approach is a unique one. Not a follower but a leader, dehx has always done things her way. Being self taught with no formal makeup or hair training, she believes there are no rules. She has an instinctive sense of color and understanding of light, dimension, and texture. This has undoubtedly come from her background in painting, drawing, her degree in fashion design, and experience as a wardrobe stylist. dehx herself exudes a funky unique vibe. She displays a strong flair for art and expression that shows through in everything she does.

dehx has perfected her makeup style over her many years in the industry. She knows that attention to every detail, from a single stroke of color to a strand of hair, is a must. This is why her results are flawless and beautiful. Being able to do both makeup and hair allows her to create a complete look. She can create something fresh and minimal that enhances the natural beauty of the face, to a more dramatic sultry sexy look, and everything in between. She mixes and blends custom shades of color until they are perfect. Her consistency, professionalism, strong work ethic, combined with being completely trusted and respected for her craft, has allowed her to build lasting relationships with her clients. This has kept her in high demand. dehx's work can be seen in national advertising campaigns, countless magazine covers, editorial spreads, television, as well as on the red carpet. Her talent and expertise have been featured on several reality tv shows, including an interview on the "E! Style Network". You can also see her work on the faces of the famous painted ladies at Hugh Hefner's exclusive Playboy Mansion parties. She has been an integral part of that artistic team for almost a decade.

Creatively, dehx's reputation for luminous glowing skin, fierce strong eyes that "pop", unique use of color, and immaculate blending, makes everyone who has had the pleasure of being "dehx-a-fied", happy and feeling fabulous! As one client has said, "you can just feel the pride she takes in her work, down to every detail, total perfection. Even the flow of her brush on the face is a dance of artistic expression." She is a true artist, painting on skin rather then canvas.

dehx is based in Los Angeles. A Southern California native ("the OC" to be exact), she has always enjoyed the amazing beaches and laid back lifestyle. She is a huge animal lover and spends her free time with her lil 18 year old Chihuahua "tiny man" stix. Animal rescue is her passion, helping save lives and being the voice of the innocent dogs and cats in the shelters. In 2010 dehx launched her project "ONE LOVE for Shelter Dogs". She is also proud to be vegan, living a life of compassion for ALL beings. A few of her favorite things include dreadlocks, crystals and crystal healing, reggae, hip hop and soul music. dehx's favorite saying is "peace. love. good vibes." This is what she strives for on a daily basis. With this positive attitude, good energy, and a crazy fun personality, dehx is always a desired asset on any set.
